What is the difference between a pouch and a sling?

A sling is adjustable and will fit anyone who wishes to carry the baby. There is a small learning curve with the sling, but, it is not difficult to use. It just takes a couple of times trying it to get used to how it works. All slings come with full-color instructions and we are always available via email or telephone to help with any questions you may have.

A pouch comes in 5 different sizes. While it is very simple to use since you just put your baby in and go, it may not fit both mom and dad. Each person needs to simply decide which type of carrier will best suit their needs.

Can I use a Solarweave sling as a year-round carrier?

Yes you can! Solarweave is a very light-weight, yet heavy-duty fabric! In the summer months, you will love having the sun protection qualities of Solarweave to protect your little one from harmful UVA and UVB rays. You can most definitely use Solarweave year-round but some people will simply want a carrier that feels softer and more cozy than Solarweave in the colder months.

How do I wash my sling or pouch?

All pouches are pre-washed and you will not have any problems with the fabric shrinking. Wash on cold with like colors and dry on low to medium heat. Your pouch will feel like your jeans when you get it out of the dryer: a little snug at first and perfect after 5 minutes.

Your sling can be washed on cold with like colors and either hung to dry or dried on your prefered heat setting (mine is high, I don't have time to wait!!) Slip a sock over the rings before your wash it and that will help to keep the rings from making so much noise in your machines.

 My pouch seems too small or too big, can I exchange it?

Yes! Please make sure that you request an exchange by logging into your account and filling out the return form. When you return a pouch for an exchange, we ask that you also send a check for $5.00 for the return shipping. Otherwise, Wallababy, Inc. will charge the card on file for the return shipping cost.
